Keeping industrial noise to a minimum
A water/wastewater pumping station in Pasadena, Texas, backed onto a residential neighborhood and an effective sound mitigation solution was needed. A lightweight PVC noise barrier wall system was selected from AIL Sound Walls.
Durable and long-lasting AIL Sound Walls were already a known entity in the area, as we had previously designed and supplied solutions for three Pasadena schools and a similar pumping station in San Antonio.
This project called for two different Silent Protector (Absorptive) noise barrier wall installations. One was 8′ tall by 120′ long in an L shape. The other was 14′ by 100′, made in two sections to allow for vehicular access.
Worked closely with the consultant on the front end
At the outset of the project, we worked closely with the consultant, H R Green, to design cost-effective foundations and lay out the barriers to work around driveways and provide access to the equipment.
We had the sound barrier wall materials produced well in advance of when they were needed and we stored them for the client, as there was limited space on-site. Installation was completed within a two-week window and follow-up with the contractor, T & C Construction, confirmed that the City was very pleased with the outcome.
