This equipment enclosure for the Neo Organics cannabis cultivation and processing facility in Medway, MA, is one of many projects we have undertaken for the fast-growing cannabis industry. This project had us teamed up once again with our familiar partners, Acentech (Acoustic Consultant) and Key Construction Solutions (General Contractor), while Dennis Colwell Architects joined us for the first time.
The Silent Protector XL Series (Absorptive) sound barrier wall system was needed to protect neighbors from the noise created by the operation’s exterior chiller farm. The 127′ long enclosure installed in just four weeks. Our XL Series panels can reach lengths of 12′, 14′ or 16′ between posts, which means fewer posts and foundations for even lower installed costs.
Noise barrier wall enclosure shifts course to accommodate hidden manhole
We worked closely with the Dennis Colwell and Key teams to get the site design information we needed to develop the most cost-effective solution. Among other considerations for accommodating various utility lines and a double-wide access door, we encountered a hidden manhole during installation that was directly in line with our noise barrier wall’s path. After a quick collaboration with our partners, we were able to reposition the sound barrier wall.
All parties in their happy place with new sound barrier wall
A post-project site inspection yielded positive comments from our partners and no noise complaints from the surrounding community.
