  Traffic noise from a newly constructed parking structure was affecting residential neighbors next to the Hillsdale Shopping Center in San Mateo, California. The existing 3' concrete perimeter wall was an effective traffic barrier but it did not offer much in the way of noise mitigation. Extending the concrete wall would have been too costly, so it was decided to structure-mount a lightweight Tuf-Barrier solution from AIL Sound Walls.

• Mississauga mall installs large sound barrier walls to mitigate loading dock noise

  The Winston Churchill Power Centre in Mississauga recently installed two large AIL Sound Walls to mitigate noise from two loading docks adjacent to a townhome development.

• North Carolina Walmart selects AIL Sound Walls to install sound barriers

  Impressed with our track record on previous sound barriers for several Walmarts, the developer and engineer on this Wilmington, NC, project also chose AIL Sound Walls for its perimeter barrier along a residential neighborhood. They knew that Walmart had issues with concrete and metal walls failing in the past and now preferred a synthetic, low-maintenance and long-lasting barrier system like ours.

• Walmart’s sound wall walks the talk of slogan “Save Money. Live Better.”

  Walmart had purchased an old Lowe’s building near Milwaukee, WI, that backed onto a residential neighborhood. They wanted to be good neighbors coming into the community and decided to provide a sound barrier to protect the residents from their loading dock noise and traffic.
