As part of a major natural gas pipeline expansion project across Texas, lightweight PVC AIL Sound Walls were selected to control noise from three compressor stations along the route. This was a large-scale project for multiple sites, so strong communication and coordination efforts were required.
We held multiple meetings and updates throughout every phase of the projects and worked with our engineering and fabrication teams, as well as our project partners, to ensure the best results.
Largest sound barrier wall was 650′ long and 28′ high
The largest of the three Silent Protector (Absorptive) sound barrier walls was 650′ long and 28′ high. It incorporated a variety of features such as hinged and sliding doors.
Our Silent Protector sound absorption wall panels are engineered for maximum noise reduction. Made from recycled and recyclable perforated PVC panels and filled with acoustical mineral wool, Silent Protector is one of the industry’s top-performing sound walls, with a Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating of up to 39 and a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 0.95.
