This equipment enclosure for the Root & Bloom Craft Cannabis cultivation and processing facility in Salisbury, MA, is one of many projects AIL Sound Walls has undertaken for producers in the Massachusetts cannabis industry. This project features our Green Teak woodgrain colored/textured panels.
Legal recreational cannabis is a $1.4-billion-a-year business in Massachusetts, with the state’s retailers having sold $2.5 billion worth of product in little more than three years of operation. The industry regularly brings in between $3 million and $5 million in a single day.
The AIL Sound Walls team has introduced many different sectors to the benefits of building their sound walls and equipment enclosures using our lightweight PVC noise barrier wall systems. These include: distribution/logistics centers, data centers, hospitals, big box retail chains, restaurant drive-thru lanes, natural gas compressor sites, water and wastewater treatment facilities and many more.

This project had us teamed up once again with our familiar partners, Anderson Porter Design (Architects), Acentech (Acoustic Consultants) and Key Construction Solutions (General Contractor). We worked very closely with Anderson Porter and Key to provide various designs and cost proposals, as well as assisting the client to make decisions.
Case in point, there was a certain degree of collaboration required to finally determine how high the sound barrier wall equipment enclosure should be. The team went back and forth on it — 17′, 20′, 24′ and even 28′ — before finally deciding that 17′ was high enough to do the job.
