In Owen Sound, Ontario, a new data center for Rogers (Owen Sound Cable) was constructed very close to a residential area and adjacent to a church. Unwanted noise from the center’s external HVAC and back-up generator systems needed to be mitigated with an aesthetically pleasing solution.
In this case, our project partners designed and built a steel structure ready to receive Silent Protector (Absorptive) panels from AIL Sound Walls.
Equipment enclosure panels installed in just one day
Construction factors beyond the control of AIL Sound Walls resulted in the panels being ordered much later than had been anticipated. This meant drawing revisions and panel fabrication had to be expedited to finish the project as soon as possible. When the panels arrived on-site, they were installed in just one day.
The project was kept on time and budget by keeping an open line of communication between AIL Sound Walls and the general contractor, Computer Room Services Corporation (CRSC), during the approval stage. This helped us be prepared for the rush once formal approval was given to proceed with fabrication.
Very positive feedback from CRSC confirmed how pleased they were with the quick panel install and the look of the finished equipment surround.
