AIL Sound Walls judged to be the best for Atlanta raceway

October 30, 2015

Atlantic Motorsports Park (AMP) is a private country club for adrenaline-fuelled driving enthusiasts. AMP had removed some trees to create a retention pond, but those trees had been acting as a natural sound barrier. Neighboring residents and stable horses all said “nay” and a county judge ordered AMP to install a light-gauge metal sound barrier, similar to those used by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).

AIL Sound Walls selected for aesthetics, performance and economics
AMP knew those metal walls were not very attractive and prone to rusting — not the image this high-end club was looking for. Researching it with their contractor, they discovered a more attractive, more effective and more economical alternative in AIL Sound Walls. They went back to the judge to get permission to use it instead.

After providing a preliminary design and budgetary pricing for the contractor to bid from, the AIL Sound Walls team also assisted the owner in providing aesthetic samples and durability/performance metrics to help the county judge and residents make an informed decision.

Our lightweight PVC Tuf-Barrier (Reflective) system was quickly fabricated, delivered and installed with limited track closures. A post-install site visit brought nothing but positive reviews from AMP officials, neighbors and the horses.
